BGSS WhatsApp Community has launched! You can join groups you are interested in, request for new groups to be made, and get in touch with each other more easily! The link to join will be available at Coffee & Donuts, or email us with your WhatsApp info and we will add you directly. The BGSS Student-Faculty Liaison will be permitted in Biology Department Meetings. Starting May 2026, they will also sit on the GSA Board of Directors as the Biology Department Representative. We are still looking for someone to serve on the Biology Department Part-time PhD Committee! Nominate yourself here The Graduate Student Association (GSA), a student union independent from the SUO, has successfully formed and is currently negotiating with the SUO to change the grad student fee structure and secure the right to represent grad students at UBCO while ensuring that grad student fees do not increase. They are working hard to make sure that grad students get the representation that we deserve. Follow them on Instagram @gsa.ubco to stay informed and get involved at UBCO finally establishes its own Graduate Student Union!
